Check Your Pressure Washer and Get a Stop-or-Use Verdict

Match your pressure washer’s brand and model to recent CPSC recalls, inspect its GFCI plug, and find the correct refund, replacement, or repair.

Marco Reyes · 8 min read

If your washer is a Workbless WB0301/WB0302, COMMOWNER HD14P-Z or HX18, SUGIFT LTBBHG006, BAYOTAK USA C4012PLUS-1500C, DGIVOVO US C4012PLUS-1500C, or an affected RYOBI RY142300/RY142711VNM, stop using it and follow the applicable recall. If it is not listed, that does not prove it is safe: check the plug for integral GFCI TEST and RESET buttons, inspect the cord and certification mark, and search the official recall database before continuing to use it.

Select the label details and complete the plug check for a stop, refund, replacement, repair, or further-check verdict.

Pressure Washer Recall And GFCI Check

Choose the exact label entry, then inspect the unplugged washer’s plug and markings. The result distinguishes a confirmed listed recall from an unresolved safety check.

For SUGIFT, check the Best Buy record; LTBBHG006 is not printed on the washer. A COMMOWNER order may say HX18 while its rear label says HD14P-Z.

Inspection conditions
Switch off and unplug first. Stop if the plug, outlet, or connection is wet, burned, cracked, or visibly damaged.

Color, PSI, GPM, price, and seller cannot confirm a recall without the required model and, for RYOBI, serial number.

1. Does the plug assembly have labeled TEST and RESET buttons?

An external GFCI outlet or adapter does not count as an integral GFCI on the washer’s own plug and does not cancel a recall.

2. Is the original cord long enough to use as directed without an extension cord?

No universal minimum cord length is stated in the supplied recall material, so this check deliberately uses no invented feet-or-inches threshold.

3. Can you find a legible UL or ETL mark on the product, plug, or cord tag?

A certification mark is supporting information. It does not override an exact recall match or prove that an unlisted washer has no defect.

RESULT: STOP AND VERIFYYour model is not selected and the plug details are unresolved. Keep the washer unplugged while you identify the exact brand and model and search the CPSC database.

The 30-Second Label And Plug Check

Switch off and unplug the washer before inspecting it. Do not touch a wet, scorched, cracked, or otherwise damaged electrical connection.

Find the product label and record the brand, exact model, and complete serial number. Color, seller, price, pressure rating, PSI, GPM, and accessories are supporting clues rather than proof of recall coverage.

Then examine the power plug itself. An integral GFCI normally has clearly labeled TEST and RESET controls on the plug assembly. A standard molded plug without those controls is not an integral GFCI plug.

Check whether the cord appears unusually short for using the machine without an extension cord. The supplied recall material does not state one universal minimum cord length, so there is no defensible inches-or-feet cutoff to apply across every washer. Do not use an arbitrary measurement to clear a machine.

Finally, look for a legible UL or ETL mark on the product label, plug, or cord tag. Its presence is supporting information, not proof that a washer is outside a recall. Its absence also does not establish by itself that a particular model has been recalled.

A washer matching one of the listed recalls should not be used even if it is connected to a GFCI-protected outlet or adapter. External protection does not cancel the recall or replace the prescribed remedy.

August 2026 Recalls Require An Immediate Stop

The three August 2026 CPSC notices covered approximately 2,200 U.S. units. They involve Workbless, COMMOWNER, and SUGIFT electric pressure washers lacking an integral GFCI, with cord-length concerns also identified. The affected products were sold through online retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, and Lowe’s, among others.

Workbless WB0301 And WB0302

The recalled Workbless washers are green and black, with the brand and model printed on a rear label. A label reading WB0301 or WB0302 is the decisive product clue.

They were sold from April 2025 through July 2026 for approximately $97 to $140 through Amazon, Best Buy, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, Overstock, Target, Walmart, and their online channels. The notice cites the absence of an integral GFCI and an adequate-length power cord, creating shock and electrocution hazards.

The remedy is a full refund. Contact Workbless at service@workbless.net or 833-725-3151 and verify the current evidence and disposal requirements in the official Workbless notice. No incidents or injuries had been reported when the notice was published.

COMMOWNER HD14P-Z Or HX18

A recalled COMMOWNER washer may have HD14P-Z on its rear label while the Amazon order or listing calls it HX18. That naming difference is part of the documented identification, not evidence that the order and machine are unrelated.

Affected washers are orange, green, or blue with black components. They were sold on Amazon in April 2026 for about $150. The notice identifies a missing integral GFCI and a short cord that may encourage extension-cord use, creating shock and electrocution hazards.

Stop using a matching unit and request the full refund through pressurewasherrecall@outlook.com. Save a photograph of the HD14P-Z label and a screenshot of any order showing HX18. Confirm the process in the official COMMOWNER notice. No incidents or injuries were reported at publication.

SUGIFT LTBBHG006

The recalled SUGIFT is an orange-and-black 2.8 GPM washer marked “High Pressure Washer” on the front. The difficult part is that LTBBHG006 is not printed on the washer. It appeared in the Best Buy listing, making the order confirmation, receipt, account history, or saved listing essential.

Affected units were sold at bestbuy.com from July 2025 through July 2026 for about $155. They lack an integral GFCI and have a short power cord that may encourage extension-cord use. The remedy is a full refund through steven@sugift.net.

Compare both the physical washer and purchase record with the official SUGIFT notice. The appearance and 2.8 GPM rating are not sufficient by themselves. No incidents or injuries were reported when the notice was issued.

Two Amazon Models Share The Same Model Number

The designation C4012PLUS-1500C appears in separate BAYOTAK USA and DGIVOVO US recalls. Match the brand as well as the model because the companies use different contacts. A photograph tightly cropped around the model number may omit the information needed to route the claim.

BAYOTAK USA C4012PLUS-1500C

Recall 26-406, dated April 16, 2026, covers a green-and-black BAYOTAK USA washer with C4012PLUS-1500C on the rear label. It was sold on Amazon from October 2025 through January 2026 for about $110.

Official material uses both BAYOTAK and BATOYAK spellings. Do not dismiss a possible match solely because of that difference. Compare the complete label, product images, seller, and model.

The washer lacks an integral GFCI, creating shock and electrocution hazards. The remedy is a free replacement pressure washer of at least equal value, including shipping, through bayotakservice@163.com. No incidents or injuries were reported at publication. Check the official BAYOTAK notice before destroying or disposing of the unit.

DGIVOVO US C4012PLUS-1500C

Recall 26-452, dated April 30, 2026, covers red, green, or blue DGIVOVO US washers with black parts and C4012PLUS-1500C on the rear label. They were sold on Amazon from October 2025 through January 2026 for about $90.

The hazard is the absence of an integral GFCI. The remedy is a free replacement of at least equal value, including shipping, through dgivovo@163.com. No incidents or injuries had been reported when the notice was published.

Use the official DGIVOVO notice. Do not send the claim to BAYOTAK merely because both products carry the same model designation.

RYOBI Coverage Depends On The Complete Serial Number

The RYOBI recall is not a GFCI recall. Its capacitor can overheat and burst, forcefully ejecting parts. Recall 25-452 covers certain RY142300 2300 PSI and RY142711VNM 2700 PSI washers, but a model match alone does not establish coverage.

The documented RY142300 serial ranges are:

  • EU17121D010001–EU20256N180999
  • LT20211D140001–LT21166D090999
  • RG22154D090001–RG23182N140999

The documented RY142711VNM ranges are:

  • LT21411D090001–LT21425D090999
  • RG21411D010001–RG23182N140999

Photograph the label, transcribe every character, and submit the model and serial number through the official RYOBI checker. The checker also displays RY142300VNM as an option, while the recall notice identifies RY142300 and RY142711VNM. Do not declare an RY142300VNM recalled merely because it appears in that menu; use the unit-specific result.

The CPSC reported 135 U.S. overheating incidents, including 41 explosions and 32 injuries and/or fractures involving fingers, hands, faces, and eyes. The affected washers were sold at Home Depot and Direct Tools Factory Outlet, including their websites, from July 2017 through June 2024 for approximately $300 to $400.

Eligible owners receive a free repair kit containing a replacement capacitor, shipping, and installation instructions. Stop using a potentially affected unit while checking it. Do not energize, dismantle, or test the capacitor. The model ranges, hazard, incident figures, and remedy appear in the official CPSC RYOBI notice.

A Missing GFCI Is A Stop-And-Verify Result

If an unlisted electric pressure washer has no TEST and RESET buttons on its plug, stop using it until the manufacturer or retailer confirms the configuration and the official recall search is complete. That observation does not prove the washer belongs to one of these recalls, but water and an unresolved electrical-protection question are not a reasonable combination for continued car washing.

A short cord, missing certification mark, marketplace-only brand, or unreadable label also calls for verification. The supplied notices do not give a universal minimum cord length, and a UL or ETL mark does not override an exact recall match.

If the brand and model are not listed, the integral GFCI is present, the cord and plug are undamaged, and no official recall appears, this checklist does not identify a stop-use reason. Continue only in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. It is not a guarantee that the washer has no defect.

Complete The Claim Without Destroying Evidence

For a confirmed match, release the trigger, switch the washer off, and disconnect it only if that does not require touching wet or visibly damaged electrical components. Keep anyone else from plugging it in.

Save a full product photograph, a readable label photograph, the complete serial number, receipt or order history, screenshots showing alternate listing names, recall correspondence, and the case number. SUGIFT owners may need retailer records because the model is absent from the machine. COMMOWNER owners should preserve both HD14P-Z and HX18 identifiers.

The Workbless, COMMOWNER, SUGIFT, BAYOTAK, and DGIVOVO processes state that eligible consumers will be asked to unplug the washer, cut the power cord, submit a photograph, and dispose of the destroyed unit. Wait for the recalling company to confirm eligibility and provide current instructions before cutting anything.

Never cut a power cord while the washer is plugged in. Do not destroy a washer merely because its color, price, seller, or pressure rating resembles a recalled product.

Workbless, COMMOWNER, and SUGIFT provide full refunds. BAYOTAK USA and DGIVOVO US provide replacement washers of at least equal value, including shipping. Eligible RYOBI owners receive the specified repair kit rather than a refund or complete replacement.

An Unlisted Model Still Needs An Official Search

This checklist covers a defined group of recent U.S. notices, not every historical or international pressure-washer recall. Search the CPSC recall database with the exact brand and model. Add the serial number or date code when requested, and check the manufacturer’s recall page.

If the label is missing or unreadable, check the manual, original carton, retailer account, emailed receipt, archived listing, warranty registration, and older photographs. An Amazon seller name or generic product title is not a substitute for a model number.

Recall contacts and claim requirements can change. Recheck the official notice immediately before cutting a cord, destroying or shipping the washer, or beginning a repair. If the washer has shocked someone, overheated, burst, or caused an injury, stop handling it and seek emergency or medical assistance appropriate to the immediate danger.
